PORTBLUE NAMES RETIRED MARINE CORPS LIEUTENANT GENERAL TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (June 1, 2005) — PortBlue Corporation (www.portblue.com), a leader in transforming knowledge into software through expert systems technology, today announced the appointment of Lieutenant General Emil R. Buck Bedard, United States Marine Corps (Ret.), to the company's Board of Directors.

PortBlue captures the human know-how that makes a person a recognized expert and transforms this knowledge into work process and decision-support software. PortBlue's interactive, online applications effectively act as a mentor, using the same frameworks, logic, rules of thumb, processes, and reference materials an expert would apply in completing a task or making a decision.

A highly decorated officer, General Bedard retired in 2003 after more than 37 years of active duty service. His last post was as Deputy Commandant for Plans, Policies, and Operations, based in Washington D.C. General Bedard previously served as President, Marine Corps University/ Commanding General, Marine Corps Schools, Deputy Commander, Marine Forces Pacific, and Commander, II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Buck Bedard is an extraordinary military leader, with deep experience in operations, training and intelligence, said Paul Dimitruk, PortBlue's founder and CEO. I am confident that General Bedard will serve with distinction on the PortBlue Board. His military career spans the major engagements of our time, from Vietnam to the first Gulf War and Somalia.

General Bedard also has substantial organizational and management experience, as evidenced by his last post as, effectively, the COO of the Marine Corps, Dimitruk said. Throughout his career, he has consistently achieved at the highest level of performance in both operations and training, two areas of focus that are essential to what PortBlue brings to our customers. Buck Bedard will also help assure PortBlue's effectiveness with its customers in the national security sector, one of PortBlue's two principal markets.

General Bedard's many awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (with gold star in lieu of 2d award), Bronze Star (with Combat V), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon, among others.

About PortBlue
Founded in Los Angeles in 2000, PortBlue Corporation (www.portblue.com) provides a highly innovative system for building web-based expert applications. The practical know-how of recognized experts is rapidly transformed into web-based training, work process and decision- support tools and systems in the form of PortBlue hosted applications accessible 24/7. PortBlue's proprietary technology effectively acts as a mentor, guiding users be they employees, customers, or trainees --through tasks and processes to optimal decisions and outcomes.

PortBlue applications customize to the user's specific context and facts and produce concrete results (e.g., a report, assessment or recommendation), delivering sophisticated applications at a fraction of the cost and time required to develop conventional software. Traditionally, expert systems have been very expensive to develop, normally taking years of effort, and have been very difficult to modify once built. PortBlue's founding purpose was to provide its customers with high-value expert systems that could be built and modified faster, more flexibly and more economically, by orders of magnitude.
