PortBlue releases version 3.0 of its software

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (September 15, 2005) — PortBlue recently released version 3.0 of its software. Version 3.0 represents a major redesign of the computation and persistence subsystems. The result is improved performance and dramatically enhanced scalability. Version 3 will extend PortBlue's ability to support hundreds or thousands of simultaneous users per server processor.

The release also opens new avenues of multi- processor and multi-server clustering to enable even higher levels of scalability. In addition to the scalability benefits, Version 3 extends the multi- dimensional data modeling capability of the system to allow the use of nested dimensions, a powerful construct enabling enhanced data processing at levels unavailable in similar products.
